How to Hide a Product on WooCommerce

Table of Contents

If you’re an online store owner, managing your inventory is one of the most important tasks. You want to make sure that customers are able to find the products they’re looking for, but sometimes you may need to hide a product or two. If you’re using WooCommerce for your e-commerce store, hiding a product is easy and straightforward. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1 – Go to Your Inventory Listing Page

The first step in hiding a product from view is to open up the inventory listing page in your WordPress admin area. This page can be accessed by going to Products > All Products in the left-hand sidebar of your dashboard. From here, you can see all the products currently listed in your store and hide any of them with just a few clicks.

Step 2 – Select Product Status

Once you have opened up the inventory listing page, locate the product or products that you want to hide and select their status from the dropdown menu on the right side of each item. This menu should show either “Published” or “Draft,” depending on what status each product has been assigned previously. To hide a product from view, simply select “Draft” from this dropdown menu for each item that you want hidden from view.

Step 3 – Save Changes

Once you have changed all the appropriate items over to “Draft” status, click on the blue “Update” button at the top right-hand corner of your screen and these changes will be saved automatically. Now when customers visit your store and search for this product, it won’t appear in any results pages so they won’t be able to add it to their shopping cart or purchase it through your store anymore.

Conclusion

Hiding products on WooCommerce is an essential part of running an efficient online store and keeping everything organized properly. By following these three simple steps outlined above, website owners can quickly and easily hide any products they no longer wish customers to access without having to delete them completely from their inventory list and potentially lose out on potential sales later down the line when they become available again for purchase. So if you’re looking for an easy way manage your e-commerce business’s inventory more effectively, hiding products with WooCommerce is definitely worth considering!
