How to Add Keywords to Your WordPress Website

Keywords are an essential part of any website’s SEO strategy. They serve as a way for search engines to identify your content, helping it to appear in relevant searches. If you’re using WordPress, you’ll be pleased to know that adding keywords is easy and straightforward. Let’s take a look at how you can do it.

Using Yoast SEO Plugin

If you want to add keywords without having to mess around with code, then the Yoast SEO plugin is the best option for you. This plugin makes it easy to optimize your website for search engine visibility, and adding keywords is one of the many things it allows you to do.

Once installed and activated, this plugin will give you access to a ‘Content Analysis’ section on every page/post editor screen. Here, you can type in any relevant keywords or phrases that describe the content on that page or post. You can also add meta tags here – these are HTML tags used by search engines to understand what type of content is on each page. The Yoast plugin will also tell you whether your content has enough keywords (it should have at least 300 words).

Adding Keywords Manually

If for some reason you don’t want to use the Yoast SEO plugin, then adding keywords manually is another option available to you. To do this, open up the ‘Headers’ tab on each post/page editor screen and scroll down until you find the ‘Keywords’ field (it should be immediately below the ‘Description’ field). Here, simply enter all of your relevant keywords/phrases into this field (separate them with commas). Once done, click on save and your keywords will be added!

In conclusion, adding keywords to your WordPress site is easy and straightforward – especially if you use the Yoast SEO plugin. Whether manual or automated keyword entry works best for your site depends entirely upon personal preference – but whichever method you choose will improve your website’s SEO performance dramatically! With that said, we hope this guide has been helpful in getting started with WordPress keyword optimization! Good luck!
