How to Find Out What WordPress Template You’re Using

Are you trying to find out what WordPress template your website is using? Understanding the design and structure of your website is important in order to make any changes or updates. Knowing which WordPress template you are using can be tricky, but it doesn’t have to be. Let’s take a look at how you can quickly identify the template that your website is using.

The easiest way to figure out what WordPress template you are using is through the source code. All modern web browsers allow you to view the source code for any page on a website. To access this information, simply right-click anywhere on the page and select “View Page Source” from the menu. This will open a new tab or window with all of the HTML code for that page.

Once you have accessed the source code, search for a line of text that looks something like this: Theme Name: twentysixteen (the name of your theme may differ). This line should appear near the top of the page, usually right after . Once you have found this line, simply note down the name of your theme and use it as a reference when looking up information about that theme or searching for compatible plugins or extensions.

Alternatively, if you are logged into your WordPress admin panel, you can find out which template is being used by navigating to Appearance > Themes in the sidebar menu. This will open up a list of all installed themes on your site (including active and inactive ones). Simply click on an individual theme to view more information about it, including its name and version number.

Knowing which WordPress template your website is running can be invaluable when making changes or troubleshooting problems with your site’s design and structure. Whether you are trying to debug an issue or just curious about what drives your site’s design, understanding which template is in use can help point you in the right direction. By accessing either the source code or admin panel of your site, it’s easy to figure out which theme is powering your site so that you can make any necessary adjustments accordingly!
