Table of Contents

Building a website can be an exciting and rewarding experience, but sometimes the tools that come with your chosen website builder may not fully meet your expectations. That’s where Elementor comes in. Elementor is a powerful page builder that allows you to create custom designs for your website, including your website’s header. In this blog post, we’ll walk you through the steps to edit your website header using Elementor.

Step 1: Install and Activate Elementor

First things first, you’ll need to ensure that Elementor is installed and activated on your website. If you haven’t done so already, you can download Elementor from the WordPress plugin repository. Once it’s installed, activate Elementor by heading to your WordPress dashboard > Plugins and clicking the “Activate” button.

Step 2: Choose a Header Template

Elementor comes with a variety of pre-designed header templates that you can choose from to get started. To access these templates, create a new page or open an existing page in Elementor. Then click the “Add Template” button on the top left corner of the editing screen. From there, select the “Header” option to see the available templates. Choose the one that resonates with you and your brand and import it into your page.

Step 3: Customize the Header Template

Once you’ve selected your preferred header template, it’s time to customize it to match your website’s branding and style. Click on the header element to open the settings, then start modifying the elements using the Elementor editor. You can change font style, size, color, spacing, alignment, and other customizations. You can also add new elements and widgets to create a header that perfectly suits your needs.

Step 4: Create a Sticky Header

If you prefer a header that stays on top of the screen when the user scrolls down the page, Elementor allows you to create a sticky header. To do so, select “Advanced” from the settings of the header section, and click on “Motion Effects”. Here you can find the option “Sticky” which you can toggle on.

Step 5: Save the Changes and Update

Once you’ve finished customizing your header, don’t forget to save your changes. Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the editing screen, then click “Update” or “Publish” to make the changes live on your website. Now your new header will show up for your visitors!
